I think we’re far closer to solving nuclear fusion than convincing Karens to use the correct lane. 

If we properly educated American drivers about lane etiquette and, well, driving, there’s no reason our interstate highways couldn’t be a fast as the German Autobahn. They’re designed for aircraft landings and troop transport, after all.

These days, I generally see wait staff putting the bill on the table in between people, unless someone has specifically asked for it. 

Traveling for work, using my travel card to get points, and getting points from the rental that roll into the loyalty program of my choosing? Hell yeah I’m checking the box for an extra $40-50. The fact that I don’t have to stop and fill up is just icing on the cake.

Every single damn time... except when I know I’ll be driving less than 50 miles.  Other than that give me the freedom to return the vehicle without having to stop on the way to the airport in a sometimes sketchy neighborhood.

Counterpoint - if you’re renting for work, definitely prepay for the tank. I’m already busy with work travel, the last thing I need is to find a gas station when I’m ready to leave.
