To be fair, there was an interview a while back where Nintendo themselves said they view their products as toys.

Now if they could fix the controls too, this would be perfect.

Yeah. You just FOUND an awesome game before watching like 200 trailers for it and reading all about it. Reviews used to come out in Magazines when the game came out, not before. It was a different time where life was more surprising.
