“in the last few years the USWNT actually created MORE revenue than the men’s team for USSoccer.”

It’s not just about U.S. ratings. The men’s World Cup is the most watched event in the entire world. The U.S. gets a share of that WC money from FIFA. Meanwhile, very few countries outside of the U.S. give a shit about women’s soccer, so their share of the proceeds is comparatively tiny.

Except he wasn’t “persistent in the face of defeat.” If he actually was, and actually cared about football and being a QB as much as he said he did, he could have tried the CFL, or even something like the Arena League, to try to get better and prove to everyone he could be a successful QB.

The one time that we can hear about a crime committed by a group of college football players...... and cheer for the players.

I bet Niners fans are super excited after that brilliant display.. As if handing over near-total control of the team to a first-time head coach wasn’t a stupid enough decision on its own, now they’ve given it to a guy who made some of the worst calls in NFL history on the biggest stage.

Please, find anywhere in my comment where I blamed it on Bernie. I’ll be waiting. Forever. Because I didn’t do that.

My personal favorite is a Bernie-or-Bust friend from high school. Spent months at Standing Rock, some of it covering the protests for progressive media sites. Now, instead of a President who would have almost certainly stood by Obama and the ACoE decision to shut it down, he’s got a President who makes starting the

Man, I’m sick of the tired “McCarthy can’t coach” bullshit meme. Is he a great coach? No. But you don’t make it to the playoffs eight years in a row without at least being a decent coach.

Tavon Austin is listed at 174 pounds. WR is the only offensive position he could play at his size. The only problem is that he sucks at it. He would be absolutely murdered if he was made into a RB.

I think you need to look up the definition of “longshot.” Considering they control their own destiny and it will likely come down to simply being able to beat the Lions.....and Matt Stafford has a fucked up throwing hand.

Well, I’m guessing there were other things going on in that apartment that were suspension-worthy beyond the sexual assault, which were brought out by the investigation. With the number of people involved, sounds to me like it was probably a party.

“Other people had the same dumb idea that I had, therefore you can’t call it dumb!” Brilliant logic there, little guy!

This isn’t a daytime soap opera. They’re not going to kill off the character played by the biggest actor on the show, then recast the part with a worse actor and say “Hahahaha, nope, that was really just a robot! Here’s the real Ford, played by someone other than Anthony Hopkins! What a twist!”

Oh man, if there’s an article on Kotaku about a theory, it must be true!

“Why is everyone assuming Ford is dead?”

They also missed a rather obvious false start on the play by Clemmings the LT, which should have blown the play dead before anyone ever hit him in the head, and moved the 2-point try back ANOTHER 5 yards (after the false start on the previous play by the RT.)

Bitter Vikings fans: Hating the Packers more than they like their own team since 1961.

“Before he can confront racism in the city he lives in and the school he goes to, he must first solve the complex racial problems of a city he has absolutely no connection to, other than occasionally playing road games at Marquette and/or UWM.”

“Spurious claims” like “People call us niggers and monkeys, and the cops harass us for being black in an area that is mostly white.”
