NADA classic car prices are useless. In particular, the “high retail” price.

Once they had it going it sounded right, but I swear I heard it crank over.

The elasticycle pissed me off because once again Hollywood got the sound effects wrong. Upon its introduction, you hear the sound of a gas motorcycle engine cranking over, then starting. Then they state that it’s electric. WTH people?

Nope, you’re on the east coast. Just ask Sade. “Coast to coast, LA to Chicago...”

You’re the first person to mention this. When you make a deposit on a BMW, you’re actually making a deposit with the dealer. It’s between you and the dealer how much, whether it’s refundable or nonrefundable, etc. because said dealer would be the one that is stuck with the car if you flake, not the manufacturer. Since

They’ve never not been cool.

At 0:11 when we get that side view and then the car shakes and adds that big annoying body line and the tacked-on chrome piece on the front fender I almost screamed “NOOOOO!”

Brand new models are never incentivized when they launch. Lease residuals are also always low on new models because no one knows how the vehicles will depreciate, so they are extra cautious. This is not news. It would be betting against your own new product to launch it at a discount.

Hmmm. Fair enough.

One year and 12000 miles into a 4 year 50000 mile warranty isn’t half. Although you did say “approaching half” which is technically true, I guess.

That’s pretty cool, but it’s mounted on the wrong side.

If the pictures look bad, I guarantee the thing looks HORRIBLE in person. All the people voting NP because “wow cheap Porsche” must not realize that an actual almost mint Boxster of this vintage could be bought for only slightly more.

We dont have hills here. Drifts are the problem, ground clearance is the solution.

OK you’re right. I guess I do live in the city and a Miata would be the sensible choice for winter driving.

OR, parking lots could be laid out to accommodate the actual size of vehicles that utilize them, instead of pretending that everyone drives compacts.

I thought not stomping over other’s automotive preferences would have been a prerequisite for this job, but OK. Since I can assume you’re just trolling I’ll not get upset, but I will offer an alternative position. I daily a big ol truck for a number of reasons.

That’s what I was wondering. I think a magazine jarring loose during an event like this is certainly possible, but does not mean that the gun is not loaded.

It is very suspicious. Its definitely a NP, but dealing with this guy would be a nightmare and I guarantee he’s hiding something, if it’s not just an outright scam.

Right. And at other times, can’t remember where, they talk about buying things with credits, which is the same as money. I think the answer is that having no money sounds nice and utopian, but just isn’t feasible in a complex economy, so they ditched the concept in later series. The other answer could be that this

They are interesting only because they are uncommon. I have argued with people as to whether or not they actually existed.
