Incompetent dealers that do not understand the business they are in. You have to turn inventory! The opportunity cost of leaving money tied up in something that loses value every day for two years is crazy!
Ya I get what they were going for, but I guarantee this guy cringed when he read that quote. The point was that he tries to do right by the customer, but people do not typically respond well to a salesman telling them they can’t afford what he’s selling.

Ya it’s not like the dealership sits down and re-writes sales contracts off-the-cuff as needed. But you’re probably right, next time Ford will have a GT-specific contract that they will require dealers to use, because this one guy couldn’t follow the clearly defined rules. A new form will fix it, hurray for lawyers…
