As an owner of a W220 S600, I can assure you that this is false. I live in an incredibly wealthy area and I get people asking for money at the pump every two weeks or so, which is ironic because the F10 535 that they’re driving is worth twice what my old S class is worth. It’s funny what a V12 badge will do...

Salutations fellow S600 owner!

Exactly. I bought mine a year ago and have put about $8000 into it since. It’s a labor of love. And cash. Lots and lots of cash.

I have a 2004 S600 and a late run W140 would be your best bet. The M120 is a tank of an engine. Avoid the M137 like the plauge. The 275 itself is pretty stout but the peripherals are a mine field. Feel free to ask any questions.

Nice write up Tyler. I feel I should add that 2007 was the first year of the W221 chassis S class. I am the guy who bought the used S class (in my case a 2004 S600) and personally I wouldn’t touch any 2007 S class, regardless of engine. Good article though !

Yeah...I’ve put like 5-6000 into mine over the course of a year.

As a W220 S600 owner I’m supremely surprised nothing (read: ABC) went wrong during your trip. This was a wonderful article sir.

Because if you drive a nice/exotic car you’re obviously a douchebag...

Mine is starting to cool down again too.

My Honda did the exact same thing. My S600 hasn’t done any of that (yet) though.

I think mine is actually all working right now ! Obviously that will change with time, but still.

I’ve had my S600 up to about 130 on my way back from Chicago. You do have to pay tickets on the side of the road in Wisconsin though so not only is it risky, it’s also expensive...

Why exactly?

It’s all good man !

Yes, and ?

Sherman with a FL-series oscillating turret grafted on.

Nope. Casemate with a powered traverse.

Can confirm. It’s a pretty damn great place.

The twin turbo S600 is the best value by far and away. Much cheaper that a 65, about the same a a 55, realistically making closer to 540 hp compared to the actual 493 that the S55 makes. Also, it’s a $3000 tune away from over 600 hp.

No, it's a 65.
