There’s a big full size spare under there. And high belly clearance. So there's no room underneath for the seats. It's a trade for capability vs low flat cargo area. Or you just remove the 3rd row and get a flat floor.

It’sa huge move on the right direction. It’s now a legitimate truck with extra seats again. For me who uses it as a truck/utility vehicle, solid rear axle is a big plus. Better for towing, better for hauling, and better off road. On road manners are good enough that no one will notice. It’s a bigger badder LC300!

I think it’s more than that. Unless that guy is huge, this one is a smallish midsize truck. Not a full size truck. Tailgate for example looks like it’s between Tacoma and Maverick size.

Why doesn't vw make service mode automatic below freezing? Seems easy software wise.

I agree. Wipers will get icy no matter where they are except under cover like the rear on an SUV that tucks up under the spoiler thing or the fronts on an FJ40 that are on top. (They’re pretty terrible functionally - but they don’t get iced up).

    That’s an evolved dinosaur :)

Hahahaha. Cotd! Waterworld here we come.

The inside passage is the one I’ve been on id do again anytime. And probably will at some point.

We’re in for a massive asset bubble burst. The stupid money that pours into anything that’s clothed with the Halo of tech is going to come crumbling down. And it's going to bring a bunch of other stuff with it.

Scotty gets a lot of facts wrong on the videos I've watched. I think he's a lot more entertainer than expert.

The LX is always seen as a very big SUV when it’s 200" long and 78 wide. For comparison that’s 2" wider and 8“ longer than a 4runner. And most of that is just the nigh bulky plastics. A Land Cruiser 300 is less than 5 inch longer and 1 inch wider than a 4Runner and 2 inches longer wheel base.

    NM - already covered

It’s quieter and smoother on the road than an S500. Costs about the same. Far better resale. More capable of many more things. Gets about the same MPG. And at $100k, costs about the same as it’s luxury truck counterparts.

I don’t drive a Prius. The Prius is of course better than your volt. (And still in production because people actually want to buy them.) But neither are in my driveway.

Your volt has pretty terrible efficiency by modern standards. It’s 1/3 less than a Prius prime.

You never cease to amaze. Even on simple facts, you’re so ignorant you don’t even know you’re wrong.

    Even longer sigh.. lol.

What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy

Everyone plans for the 1% case. The average use really doesn’t much matter. This is a universal truth. It’s both built into our brains by millions of years of evolution. And it still matters for survival as a human. If you only planned for the 99% - you’d starve every time the 1% happens. If my house could only keep

I’m sure it’s a wild exaggeration to spend $6k per year on average for maintenance. I was including repairs as well. Even then I’m not sure it would add up.
