Only in the USA is it a Lexus thing. The 6 speed is installed in many Toyota brand SUVs produced in the same factory on the same production line for other markets. Just not ours.

I have one. It’s actually pretty great for what I do with it - lots of off roading, plow snow, check on cows, etc. But the 5AT is pretty old and it really shows with the ancient V6 that’s as smooth as rocks in the dryer.
26 highway isn’t horrible. It’s just not really great either. The biggest issue is the fact that the sienna isn’t far off in price and gets much better mpg. I don’t think the performance difference is meaningful for buyers. 7 vs 7.7 second 0-60 isn’t going to sway many buyers compared to 19 vs 36mpg city. Not in this…
Why the anger comrade? I’m fully supporting ending policing. If police ain’t gonna police why would they need cars? Seems like a waste of money that could be better spent on removing street signs and traffic lights.
Why the anger comrade? I’m fully behind your anarchy plans. You've convinced me. Butterflies and unicorns will once again spread freely across this great land.
“When activists say they want to abolish the police, they “100%” mean they want no more police, [Miski] Noor (BLM spokesperson) says.”
I think Toyota and Dodge are competing for the slowest model update frequency. The charger is a key player in that battle. Toyota’s sticking with the 12 year old 4Runner still running a 5 speed from the 90s (literally it’s still the same one introduced in the 90s). I think it’s a battle of who blinks first. I can’t…

No. It can’t be complex. Cops are bad and all they do is kill people. Oh and fascist! - you can’t be woke if you don’t fit that in somehow.
Not sure where you live. My fire department gets anything they want anytime they want. That’s why fire trucks are $$. They could be far cheaper if for departments had meaningful budget constraints and had to choose off the shelf models. Instead they custom design then one at a time. And in my state public teachers get…
Police cars. According to many on jalopnik anytime a police car is in public it results in death and destruction. They shouldn’t ever turn on the lights because it causes criminals to then run and kill people. And they shouldn’t ever enforce any laws. So police cars really just shouldn’t exist.
It’s the rule of the intolerant minority. Average daily use is meaningless to the evaluation. No one buys a car for the average day. If they did high utility cars like CUVs and trucks wouldn’t be popular.
Depends what the kid did before he arrived at the gas station. Maybe he committed treason? (That’s part of Florida aggravated assault).
I figured that was the case. I’ve probably dismissed 10 of her comments on this thread already. Only the ones that are objectively offensive. Otherwise I’m fine with someone disagreeing with me.
Yep. It was supposed to be an airplane as homage to Fuji heavy industries aviation history. But... Why on the face of a car? I have no idea.
Seems like a good start. But where do you find stuff like heavy load springs and long travel shocks? Are those available anywhere? Or locking differentials and gear sets? Those are kinda the basics I’d need to find to consider one. I also don’t know much about the drive train in terms of strength - are the diffs and…
Imo - ascent is much better inside and out. My sister has a touring trim ascent. It’s a great people mover. My only issue is the mpg. Hers averages around 23 on highway trips which is well below EPA rating vs Highlander or sienna options that can both get 35+ mpg.
The post facelift really made a huge improvement. Part of the issue imo was that Subaru didn’t have an engine that really was capable of a bigger SUV. The original 3.0 boxer was over taxed with a 3500lb vehicle. It struggled to move the bigger SUV. The 3.6l was probably a lot nicer to drive.
That’s a good comparison. The terrible mpgs on both the carnival and telluride have taken them off my list as options. Otherwise they check a lot of boxes.
There’s a MUCH higher probability that the kid would be alive if he wasn’t riding a dirt bike illegally. So no, the cops didn’t cause his death. He did. No punishment was imposed by the cops. Only my his own poor choices and physics.
