Come on. We all know he's right.

Yeah. Step one: buy Toyota land cruiser. Step 2: fill up with fuel and go see the world. It’s hard to think of a worse vehicle than a Wrangler for this trip.

Fwiw, fast sailboats routinely exceed wind speed. Very fast ones double wind speed. You just can't do it directly down wind.

Even the later years suck. Mine has been pretty terrible. It’s broken again right now incidentally. Probably more injectors and a turbo this time. Has really high miles... 107k... Never again. I think it has actually had more repairs since the first of this year than every other car I owned combined with the exception

The old grille was different for sure. But I’m not sure many people would be able to distinguish the current outgoing model from the new one. I’m honestly not even sure the to pictures I found were the correct Plaid vs not. It’s less visual change than probably any mid-cycle refresh I can remember on any other

Because the VW van is going to struggle when half of the passengers don’t fit in the seats.

I think it’s tire related, but a little more than just a wheel size. My bet is that the weight is a big problem and no tires currently exist for the speed and weight. But lots of very fast cars have downforce that would exceed the total force from the mass of the Model S, so that’s maybe just a rating issue for the

You’re also not representing anything like the “whole picture”. RNs make north of 100k in almost every market. I just looked at advertised starting RN wages. Starting salaries advertised in Bentonville are between $64k and $89k starting salary. The state of Arkansas has a current opening for an RN with no experience

Equipment that may never exist. Just like full self driving, the cyber truck, the semi...

Will it? Just like it'll fully self drive...

Do you? I’m not sure. I have an 07 Powerstroke. It’s worth around half of what an 07 Tundra with the same miles is. I think this used to be the case. But modern diesels are just so fragile, I don’t think the resale is holding up anymore. At least not once then get to the 10+ year mark.

Hahaha. I just wrote out a post explaining why they could sell more or provide customers a better match of what they want and then saw the /s at the end of your comment. Facepalm. Reading to the end is important. haha.

I’m not holding my breath for the TT6 in the 4Runner. Probably only see it in the Tundra and new Sequoia. :( . It’s the engine we should have in the 4Runner and Tacoma TRD Pro models.

In some countries they’re near 10% of all new car sales. Twice as popular as the F150 is in the USA for comparison. If you imagine twice as many ford trucks as you see now - that’s kinda crazy how popular they are in those markets. But they also start around $45k USD, not $90k luxury trim only like we get.

I think you’re right. It’s the price. Toyota sells the current LC200 starting around $45k USD in most markets. If they sold one here at that price - they’d sell a ton of them. Only offering the $90k version is why they sell in very low volume. I struggle to understand the logic of not offering the lower trim models

I think this is the benchmark for the front bumper clearance on the LX600:

This has been a pretty standard design in diesel engines for a while. This is the first engine I’ve seen where it’s used in a gasoline engine. But I’m sure others have done it. I’m just ignorant about where it’s been used in other applications. It should offer some additional rigidity on the lower end.

Lowering EGTs shouldn’t be a bit issue for turbo output so long as the turbo is designed for the compressor side air volume. Cooling the air will cause the volume to go down and increase the density and also reduce the velocity of the exhaust gasses through the turbine. So there probably is some loss in energy

I disagree about the pay. FBI hires a lot of very intelligent “cops” who might otherwise work for local or state police if the pay were comparable. It’s a combination of factors in a complex system. Pay is a major contributor to the low qualifications necessary to attract employees at the low wage level. It’s the same

I literally went to the Arkansas public right to know website and then looked up the actual current salary of an ASP Trooper - the current salary of the first one I pulled up was $40k. That’s last year’s actual annual salary that was paid out.
