I’m not sure it applies to anything anymore. A current F150 has a higher towing (bumper and 5th wheel) and load carrying than my 07 F250. I’m not sure we can really still use load capability as the basis. And then there’s the in-betweeners - tundra and titan that are heavier than half tons, but lighter than hd trucks.

No mention of mpg? Isn’t that the point of the little diesel option? How well did it do?

Panel gaps certainly don't translate directly to longevity. But id bet the two are highly correlated. I doubt many of today's Tesla cars will still be in use in 2040 or 2050.

dashboard-light dot com. Someone tracks long term quality in very high volume of data points. We don’t have to guess which cars are built better. If you want to save the time - Toyota really does build longer lasting cars.

You’d think out of a million cars - just by random luck they’d get one right. I haven’t seen it yet. But my sample size is small. I can go to the Toyota dealer and not find a single error in panel gaps.

So you compared a crash repaired sienna to a new Tesla?

My neighbor has a model y. You can see the roof panels aren’t straight from the sidewalk, so maybe 30 feet away and it’s visible. Or maybe the hatch isn't straight? But sure. Whatever is happening the panels are way off. I’m sure it’s a fine commuter-mobile. But build quality isn’t good.

I think there might be some value in the low risk nations recognizing Taiwan. It’s a baby step. But it’s still a small international recognition. And maybe it makes the next recognition by someone a little bit more at risk viable. It doesn’t mean much - I agree -  but it has to start somewhere.

The problem with the current Tesla “eyeballs” is that they are basically $15 webcams. Your eyeball is 580 megapixels, has unique different sensor hardware for low light and peripheral areas, adjustable focus, very fast processing, and a complex gimbal mount - that also takes input from nvh and stereo audio. Not to

It is. Tesla is not the future of self driving.

My work has also been sorta all over the map. First it was WFH forever. Let us know and we’ll tell you when we’re ready to come clean out your office so we can terminate the lease.

Since Jalopnik only allows white racism - (even using as example to demonstrate objective racism)

Oh my. The brain trust is here. Look out.

Average emissions per passenger is about the same as an international flight. Is it clean? Nope. Is it dirtier than other common transportation options? About the same.

You don’t recognize that your open racism is racism. I think I understand you now.

Dear customer, we’ve found that the hellcat has far fewer warranty repairs if we reduce output to 150hp. We’re confident you’ll still enjoy the car.

The gauche caviar is alive and well at Jalop.

You’re singling out a race of people you don’t like because you don’t agree with a group of people who are mostly of that race. Isn’t that kinda the definition of racism? Discrimination or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group. Your

It’s pretty easy to just replace white with black or brown in your comment and see how that starts to look. It is racist.

It’s a lexus. It’s like saying here’s a used rock. Someone threw the rock too many times. It’s still a rock though. I don’t think you could hurt it if you tried (unless it’s been crashed).
