Dr Novella conveniently removes himself from the ignorant... lol. Classic academic yet idiot.

This reasoning is scary. I hope you recognize how troubling it is to justify hating someone because of their skin color. And then justifying it by saying - those people (generally) are doing something I don’t agree with and most of them are white, so I hate white people. That’s text book racism.

Sure. There’s always someone faster. But now there’s always some faster in a minivan next door. So the experience is now more like nostalgia. I think it’s a much smaller set of people interested. Kinda like horse racing. And the loud obnoxious group are probably the first to go. I think the same will be true for

I have a 3SI myself. And I’ve driven a few of the new mustangs. They’re very fun. But I still think the game has changed a lot. There’s just a big difference going from the fastest car around to just a bit faster than a RAV4.

I follow the trends. I hate on the boomers with the best of them - they don’t look like me so I hate them. But I didn’t really start out that way, it wasn’t until it became popular.  Were you ahead of the trend hating Israel too? I feel like a bit of a bandwagon if I turn anti-Israel now. Since I'm German, it feels

Are you sure you’re not a detective?

Most crazy part about jalopnik is that a comment pointing out blatant racism is removed by the censor staff, But the extreme racist comment - no problem at all. Holy moly. It’s very disappointing. I honestly thought that the staff were better than this. :(

Sure. Cop hit the brakes expecting to stop, and the car doesn’t stop. It must be something else other than the brakes not working the way that the driver expected. That’s some good detective work!

Why are you trying to force your white people grammar on me?

Man I hate white people to!! It's so trendy right now.

They’re doing it so you should to? Huh. Okay.

Open public racism is usually unpopular. Just not here.

Maybe. But IMO the cool got wiped off of the Camaros and mustangs as soon as an EV family sedan was running 10 second quarters. And the STI that was the baddest car on the street, wasn’t so great when the CPA started driving a model 3P that could gap the STI in a hundred feet.

    Let’s find out.

Racism is strong in this one.

I think once the EVs out perform the diesels, it'll change about overnight. Look how fast the tuner car culture fell off a cliff as soon as Tesla became mainstream.

Every I drive somewhere different, and the conditions are a little bit different. I can’t see why anyone would ever own a car. It just makes no sense. I rent the car I need for the day, everyday. Some times I even take my rental car back in the middle of the day, and exchange for a different one. Like if it were sunny

If putting aside my general hatred for the police - that I've recently developed because that’s what I need to do to be socially popular right now - and calling an obvious video of brake fade what it is is similar to the Tesla stans, I guess guilty is charged.

You’re clearly making up a narrative that doesn’t exist and supporting it with your lack of experience. Nothing more. The motive to do so is pretty obvious. Looking for some deeper “police are bad" story that just isn't there in this case.

I would try to just give them the cash to do whatever they want with it. The ultimate idea is that most people would use less gas. Even poor people. So if they had a normal monthly gas expense of $150 and now it went up to $500 per month - but they get an extra $350 to spend however they want. Maybe they’d prefer to
