One of the selling points was that he could just drive it up to the property rather than have to deal with transport and it also comes in a pre-made storage shed, that’s also mobile.

Poor people can’t afford $30,000 cars either. It’s always a coupon for rich people to buy fun toys.
Have have a buddy with an off the grid cabin. He’s been shopping for a Chevy bolt, because the battery pack alone is is worth more than the car. So this plan was just to buy a new one, drive it up to his cabin, and then park it and set up a homebrew battery system - and probably never use the car again. Basically a…
Good catch! I love the styling those era Toyotas and Hondas for some reason.
So many blinders you have to wear to to ignore the obvious just to be edgy and hate the police. It must be exhausting.
So you find no value in catching five men in a stolen car who broke into an occupied house to steal another car? Interesting.
So - in your mind that is different from pursuit choices based on “balancing of situations and risks” as I said? Help me understand what the difference is.
Have you ever heated brakes up enough to have them fade to the point of not working? Sometimes it’s a non-linear response. And the stop may have been the driver using the emergency brake. Did you consider that? Or were you in the car and you have some special insight?
Innocent people die when people drive cars (even if they’re not stolen). Do you then oppose all use of cars? Car use = people die. So where is your break-even point between car use and innocent people dying?
There are already ones that do. But it’s usually a very wasteful use of limited battery cells. And it’s a huge PITA to charge it anywhere on your way. And once the batteries are dead - you’re now towing another 2k lbs of dead weight.

Who needs bags??? It’s probably water tight. Just fill that baby up with gasoline!
You should try it in an F250... even worse. Lol. I’m 6'3 and at least I’m tall enough to easily climb into the bed to get stuff. Shorter guys - they’ll struggle just to get into the bend and probably can’t even SEE into the bed, let alone reach anything. And mine is totally stock down to the tire size. It’s gotten out…
So you rent all season tires only for the rainy days? Weird. Seems like a lot of work. Or do you rent a whole car on rainy days?
Tesla made a pretty standard fare electrified roadster. Then a pretty standard luxury sedan with electric drive. Then a minivan with gull wing rear doors. Then a mid-size sedan. And then a tall roof version of the mid-size car. Tesla has changed the perception of EVs by adding in performance. No question about it. The…
I think there are a lot of meetings happening today that start out something like “holy shit guys and gals and nonbinaries - how can we compete with that?” And in most of their heads they’re thinking, “we can’t.”
I don’t have any real reason to own an EV. My commute is currently zero miles. My work may go back, but as of now it’ll be 1 day a week at most. And my work is around 5 miles from my house. I generally ride my bike. So I have no use for a EV for my daily routine, or any car for that matter. In my case the EV would be…
