That is the facelifted (last gen RX-8). Most people hated the refreshed look, but the reliability tweaks to the Renesis engine made it hard to argue with. Of course, rotary heads still argued.
My wife’s car is a Mazda3 with the auto 6 speed. It is the best auto I’ve ever driven. Much better than automatics I’ve encountered in much more expensive German cars. It shifts quickly and smoothly. Best of all, the Mazda actually seemed to have programmed their automatic to not be a complete idiot.
And he...he could just reach back and put the roof up. All it takes is one hand, easiest convertible top in history, yet he still has it down.
I was overly happy to see it appear in the back leftside of the scene just before the drone shot focused in on the stage.
anyone who thinks this car is ugly needs to take a good hard look at the market right now. mazda is killing the design game right now.

Totally agree. On top of that, the interior quality of their cars is impressive. I’d put the Mazda3 GT’s interior on the same level of quality as entry level luxury cars. Like, better than the Mercedes CLA and about the same or better than the Audi A3.
So Mazda, one of the smallest car manufacturers, continues to innovate and has some of the best engineering in the industry. The things they accomplish for a company of their size is quite impressive.

After the Touge sponsorship, I don’t believe a word from this article.
Pretty sure this car shares not one single part with the original CX-7.
Miata is, of course, the answer here. All trim levels come with LEDs for that as well.
sometimes Miata is not always the answer
I thought so too then I compared it to the Pilot and Highlander, both are cheaper, but it seems that Mazda is giving you some upgrades at that price to justify the premium. As the CX-9 starts moving up in trim levels, the value proposition reveals itself a bit more.
Honestly I never anticipated Stef would post about a MX-5 and give owners a place to talk about Miataness.
