The Anselmo Case was never solved.

The fact that the mob wasn’t looking very deeply, and were pro-Columbus makes perfect sense.  It makes me question whether you even understood the point of the show. (Protagonist =\= Smart or good.) The main characters being on a side is usually an indicator that that side is *wrong*, or at least not well thought out.

It’s a common problem when you have writers writing about things that aired when they were in preschool.

It’s always weird when people call something a “predictor,” or “before its time,” when in reality it’s depicting an issue that existed at the time and simply persists.

Yeah, but coming off of Noah’s tenure, not the ratings and cultural icon that was The Daily Show under Stewart, I think they might be looking to bring in a big name this time, which is unfortunate for people like Roy who deserve it.

I don’t get it—-unless Roy Wood doesn’t have enough “drawing power” and they’re looking to make a big-name splash, he would seem to be perfect.

Hard disagree. I didn’t like her on TDS, her over acting or over intensity was off-putting, and the few segments I watched of her TBS show felt like she cranked that up to 11. (Admittedly this was in the Trump era, when it was easy to be angry all the time.)

The fact that anyone’s childhood can be destroyed by a reboot of anything is laughable. Honestly, grow the fuck up people. I think most of the Star Wars movies made after the original trilogy are trash. This doesn’t ruin my childhood, or the enjoyment of those first three movies.

Thing is, a lot of people were being reactionary sexists about it, review bombing and such without even seeing it. We all dislike stuff for legitimate reasons which other people dislike for spurious ones. It’s just interesting that, seven years later, people are still fixated on justifying their opinion rather than

Full disagree. That movie was screamingly funny. Hell, there’s a supercut of McKinnen doing outtakes that are all improv and they’re all absolutely hilarious. All four of the lead actresses were in amazing form. The problem was that people expected a full on Ghostbusters remake and they didn’t get it. Fuck ‘em.

So he had an idea, but didn’t have a story. And he had a vague idea for three of the four leads (only one of whom was even aware of the idea, as far as we know). There’s a lot of reasons to dislike Ryan Murphy; I’m just not sure if “talking out his ass about a project during COVID and then not following through” is

As has been often pointed out, if you want to know what conservatives are guilty of, simply look at what they accuse others of.

It’s not like they’re arguing he has to buy Chunky Monkey ice cream for the Scientology BOD for a month. Wanting friends and family to get 15 years in jail instead of 30 doesn’t make one a monster

Burrows is a legend, so it baffles me that this is his take because isn’t Emily supposed to be the straight man in her arc on the show? She wasn’t really there to be someone for Ross to “bounce off of” comedically. She was there to shine a light on how weird (and dysfunctional) the group dynamic was between the

I remember the execution of Ross saying the wrong name being so forced at the time too.

With her bob cut and her accent, I legitimately sometimes forget she’s not real-life Emily, Emily Mortimer.

Any time I’ve seen Jennifer Aniston trying to be funny IRL it’s the cringiest thing ever. Earlier this year SNL played a rerun where she hosted from the early 2000s and she’s like “we all know Ross is gay! Lol!” She’s awful.

You are correct, it really doesn’t. However, for some reason people are making a deal out of how much he made (and where it went) as though it has anything to do with this fishy as fuck conservatorship. Given the existence of this conservatorship it’s ridiculous for these people to even mention his NFL earnings as

You seem to be missing my point. Dude is implying that that 30M was somehow squandered without noting that that money was made when Mr. Oher was under a conservatorship. Which means he wasn’t likely in control of that money so this is not a story about an NFL player going broke due to bad (or most likely nonexistent)

“But he made millions!”
“He should have known!”
“He’s ungrateful!”
