I have one question for the Touhys. Did you fool this young man into believing he is your adopted son? Is he or not your son? If the answer for the first question is “Yes” and the second, “Not!” ...Then everything out of their mouth should be considered A LIE!

Good catch. At this point, Oher may not want to win - primarily - but is willing to burn every bit of goodwill that the Tuohys have among the sports community and the school’s alumnus.

Good find. This is the one legal drama which should inspire NIL awareness across college and amateur athletes everywhere.

The couple’s attorney is making some pretty specific verifiable claims. If, as they say, they have split the payments equally they should be able to support that. If, as they say, this claim was preceded by a $15M blackmail threat, they should be able to prove that.

He claimed that there was an agreement that the money would be “divided equally” between the Touhys and Oher. Singer said his clients have honored that agreement and have given him an equal cut on every payment.

Worth noting: being worth hundeds of millions of dollars often signifies you are EXACTLY the type of psychopath who doesn’t know when to stop and would steal candy from a baby to be ten cents richer

NIL at least makes the dealings more public. The Tuohy’s were Old Miss boosters who probably used this whole thing as a shady recruitment tool. It’s much easier to bribe a recruit if you can become their legal guardian, although probably a lot more work than just money laundering through the local church. NIL making

He’s been looking into it for years. From what I’ve read so far, it seems like the family was smart enough to keep their hands out of his NFL contracts. He kept the lawyer who wrote the conservatorship who was also a family friend of the Tuohy’s. Odds are, he started looking into it all a lot more post NFL retirement

Count me among those who never fell for that story or movie - it sounded ‘too hollywood’ and frankly like a poke in the eye to the Black community.

Oher is married with four kids now and was released from the Panthers six years ago. And he never received one single cent from the $300 million dollar movie.

I’m already tired of people asking how he didn’t know. He was gaslighted for his entire adult life; these people are evil. There are endless things that evil people will do to maintain their control and he was, apparently, quite a cash cow for them.

I think “#fakefriends #fakelove” added enough context for me to understand that Jamie was betrayed by someone who he thought was a friend. My mind didn’t immediately jump to “it was the Jews!”.

But BLACK TWITTER!

One of the oldest anti-Semitic tropes is the concept of Jewish deicide: that the Jewish community of Judea bears the primary or even sole responsibility for Jesus’ death and that modern Jews are guilty by association. I do not think that that’s what Foxx was doing, because the notion of Jewish deicide is no longer a

These numerous allegations rather beg the question, who decided that this guy was going to be the new king of Hollywood? Were all of these red flags ignored by white guilt ridden liberals? This case has parallels with the UK actor/director Noel Clarke where BAFTA suddenly decided to give him an award for his Outstandin

(pulls up calculator to run 2^30)

Nobody’s arguing he isn’t an effective villain.  The trick is to find a guy who’s good at pretending he’s an effective villain, not a guy who just is one

Full circle

Are we really still implying that dick size is responsible and it couldn't just be inattentive partners? 🤥

The part that cracks me up about these loons is when they talk about being “locked inside of your house” and “forced to take the vax”. I live in California - one of the more aggressive states in terms of COVID restrictions and closures - and left my house every day during the pandemic, even sold a house and moved
