Even if she’s not, the only people with standing to challenge it are: the two defendants, who clearly don’t want to; their defense lawyers after the case, grasping at straws for a mistrial; or the prosecution who presumably asked for the no contact order in the first place.

She was leading. “See, this is how you don’t fall.” They just didn’t follow her example.

I would like to thank all the contributors to this article for not giving me reason to rethink giving up on football over all the concussions and annual stack of dead kids.

Back when I took a lifeguard course in the scouts, we were explicitly taught to punch, knee, or grab and twist something to make sure you stay unentangled while attempting a water rescue.

But he did.

...to complain about the lack of perks on their all-expenses-paid three-week trip to Brazil.

The ump is looking at him like “I really ought to toss you, but the shards of that bat are just over there, and nope uh-uh.”

Even if they were (and they’re not) CO-4 is the eastern plains of Colorado. Mostly rural farmland.

It is also possible that the people who apply to Steven Colbert and Samantha Bee’s writing room are very different. (Which could, of course, be a consequence of the current staff; cue reinforcing phenomena.)

Now, with Git’s ability to hold arbitrary files & tag versions, cheap disk space, and fast network speeds? You’re absolutely right.

What about the sentence “Something that indicates it has a story, and some sense of that story” makes you think my complaint was in any way about the lack of information around the mechanics of the game?

Something that indicates it has a story, and some sense of that story. From what the trailer shows, it could be an arbitrary click fest that uses a set of non-human sprites and (sometimes) a spaceship tile set. All we know about the story is that a space ship crashes at some point.

Seen one lately? Because that one doesn’t tell me anything meaningful about the game.

ACE stores don’t carry large lumber though, in my experience. I suppose I can go back to Lowes for that (it’s been a while since they did something stupid, at least) but HD is the only place I know of carrying that no-formaldehyde stuff.

EA’s strategy with The Sims isn’t so much “gaining new players” as it is keeping the existing playerbase happy so they keep buying the expansions, stuff packs, and game packs that are released every few months.
