I barely made it through the eight seasons where they were stuck on the farm. Or was that one? And then the six seasons where they sat around the prison and Rick moped. How many likeable black characters did they get killed off back to back just to get replaced with another?

So glad I stopped watching back in the days of the Governor. Took a lot of work to get even that far. Just such a stale show with dry, unlikeable characters and zero idea how to make for strong emotional payoffs.

Because AMC knows the ratings are falling and rather than invigorating interest by, you know, actually doing something Gimple decided to instead choose the method of cliffhangering everything which instead causes audience numbers to bomb.
