The ads are part of the problem. The tone of the actual game is pretty tongue-in-cheek. The devs are fairly aware of the climate into which they're releasing the game, and it seems like they play off of that.

I was thinking about this earlier. I want a H5 Griffball variant that requires a ground pound dunk instead of just sprinting into the goal. That would add some vulnerability to the Griff as he sits idly in the air charging up and aiming for the platform.
