It feels like they did it only for the sake of using their same LCD display tech. It was probably somehow less money to do this than to switch to AMOLED. I’ve never seen one, but I know that 256gb cards are only around $200 now. pretty damn affordable if you want to double your phone as a little portable NAS :)
