I work in the EV industry as a design engineer too. I’ve been toying with the idea of making my purpose-built offroad truck (mostly rock-crawling) hybrid or electric powered once I get the overall suspension performance where I want.  This is deepening my want to do that.

Jason has it right, the Jaaaaag XF Sportbrake. Tom, the Odyssey is a good car but not “fun.” Thats a big step down from a fun BRZ, but i appreciate what you are getting at, it is an excellent family car.

Canada has safety inspections that take a lot of cars like this off the road. Come to Michigan if you want to see the real rolling rust buckets.
