Yes.

I may be hazy on the game as well. But it was during a time when it was one of my only games and I made it a goal to beat all of the hunts.

I feel ya. Crono Trigger is of course my all time favorite. I was very disappointed that Uematsu only did the intro in XII and felt the rest of the music lacked but I’m a sucker for kingdom stories with princesses. XII doesn’t rank as high as 6 and 9 in my book but there was a whole heck of a lot of content in that

I wouldn’t say they were close conceptually but the feeling of story where all of the characters involved had real motives and had weight felt similar. And that is what I feel had been missing was character developement. I have a hard time caring about a story involving a group of nobodies.

You consider VI as the best so maybe you should give XII a deeper dive. You said on Split Screen you weren’t a fan. I think the director was the same for 6, 9, and 12. Which may be why they were my favorites.

I think the government is a little preoccupied at the moment worrying about its own wacko that’s taken over.

The negatives are there, true. People were expecting a stronger system more dedicated to the core gamers. But there is something that the core gamers (people like me who sat cross legged on the floor in front of the tv playing next to their friends) are quickly overlooking. Two player anywhere. On breaks at work

I personally have hopes for this system. I look forward to reading the hands on impressions, particularly from Stephen who shared my anguish in lugging around the entire Wii U system.

Agreed. Trying to fit a massive book into a 2 hour long movie just doesn’t ever do it justice. Give me the world and its creatures to explore at my own leisure.

I feel more companies should adapt books into video games. If you’ve read the book you already know what the main character is doing. But I always want to know what else is going on in the world of my books. And this I feel is the best way to find out.
