A Nice BMW 1M Is Worth More Than A 2018 BMW M2

I love the spec, and I actually love the car itself.

I have a 2ZZ in a handy Matrix carrying case, but I have no MR2 Spider. Such is life, I suppose.

Everyone in my house is asleep right now, but upon reading this – and seeing that gorgeous lede photo – I wanted to scream out, “FUCK YES!”

It was my mom’s car. She drove 1.3 miles each way to work and back for years. On the weekends, my parents would either take my dad’s car or – if he was flying solo – dad would drive his Datsun Roadster.

A friend of ours has a 2002 (I think... it’s a facelift car) Z3 with the 2.5-liter and a 5-speed. It is all kinds of fun.

We have a Bond-spec (for whatever that’s worth – it looks nice) Z3 in the family. It’s a 1997 – no roll hoops – that we picked up off-lease in 1999. I think it may have 40k on it now, but maybe not yet.

Looks okay. Has the right number of pedals. Probably be able to run it until the sun goes out. Hard to gauge how big it is.
