For reading, I’ve been using SumatraPDF on Windows. It’s light and fast, but very minimalist. It doesn’t even have highlighting and note-taking features. It can’t do forms either. My biggest tech regret was not on the item itself but more on the price. So I bought a Crucial SSD a few months ago. I thought I got a good price for $98, since it usually sold for around $120. ACDSee might be a good alternative to Lightroom. It’s not free, but it’s not as pricey as Lightroom.

I missed Picasa. I’m trying out Adobe Bridge, digiKam, and darktable. But nothing beats the simplicity and speed of Picasa.
