I’ve been trying to lose weight, so when I pass Girl Scouts selling cookies or Boy Scouts selling popcorn, I just hand ‘em a $10 or a $20, tell them that I love supporting them, and walk away. They really appreciate any financial support, particularly when someone insists on not getting something for the giving.

Woohoo! Now that I’m 50, I don’t have to worry at all about homicides! Thanks, Internet!

For those who have these, for it to charge, doesn’t the panel have to be in direct sunlight? If it’s under the eves or in a shadow, does it still charge effectively?

I can’t speak to this model, but we bought the one sold through Sam’s Club, and we absolutely love it. It REALLY DOES let food last longer. Ground beef stays pink, fresh veggies stay fresh, and even cooked, drained pasta keeps for MUCH longer.

Major flaw in the Android mobile app: No PIN or password protection on app. I close the app and swipe it away from recents, and when I launch it again, it takes me right to my inbox. Given the nature of this app, I’d at least expect PIN security on the app itself. Am I missing something?

The potato ricer is the little known secret to smooth mashed potatoes. And the cool thing is that you don’t even need to remove the skins. Just drop in the cooked potatoes (or cut up if they are large) and press. We boil up a large stock pot full of potatoes for Thanksgiving, and the potato ricer makes it SO easy to

We just upgraded a couple PCs here at work from Windows 7 to Windows 10 build 10586.104, and everything remained intact including Speccy and CCleaner. Maybe the removal was part of a prior update? I have had no problems reported here with Windows 10.

I’m not, because they aren’t. Cigarette smoke is simply less offensive to me, and therefore a perfect comparison illustrating how badly I dislike and am negatively affected by annoying, overused fragrances.

We’ve been watching the “American Genius” mini series on Netflix, and our main takeaway is this:

But please show some restraint!

And neither have I. But do a Google search on banks that charge teller fees and you’ll find lots of news articles about it from 2013. Then narrow the search to the past month, and you’ll find many examples. For example, the first hit is from the Bank of Texas:

Obviously YMMV, but at some banks, depending on the kind (level) of account you have, they may charge you fees to interact with a teller. Unless you have to get a question answered that you cannot get answered online, or if you need a human-required service (like a notary) I’d just stick to the ATM.

Droid Turbo 2 rocks

I bought two of the 10,000 mAh model last Fall, and I love them. Highly recommended! I would think that the 20,000 mAh version would only be better due to capacity.

For me, Google Photos is a very capable replacement for Picasa. I never really used Picasa for anything more than sucking pictures off a digital camera, and organizing them into folders. For better or for worse, now that everything is so cloud-centric and automatically backed up from my phone (which IS my digital

That does look nice—I haven’t heard of it.
