I started with the McCaw Cellular One. It was bought by AT&T and got worse.

I've been fantasizing about something similar for a while. In my fantasy, the phone has all my data in a terabyte or two of SD sized nonvolatile memory. There's a couple of big power connections and a couple of optical data connections that connect when it's docked. Then the laptop/desktop boots of my OS of choice,

Re: item 4. Your link is to the battery grease gun, but the one in the photo runs on compressed air. Those weigh less if you don't have to drag the hose over the top of anything.
