@timtoolman: I would, if I had the money. Not this car, but there are many cars this price or more expensive that I feel are deserving of the pricetag.

@domino: The current deal gives them 85% of their pay and help finding another job if they want it. Along with this 85%, they are allowed to work up to 20 hours a week at a non-salaried job and still be considered unemployed. They can basically work part time and make a killing, especially the ones who are good…

You are right about the need for good PR, but shouldn't the public, and more importantly congress, put their personal feelings aside and look at facts instead? The only question you need to ask is, "Will the automakers failing have a big enough impact on the economy as a whole to justify a bailout?"
