I forgive her because she lived through sixteen years of her husband being lauded as a feminist god friend and champion paragon on virtue while he was actually screwing around on her. I would be pretty pissed off too.

When my ex (who def. identified as a feminist) decided to leave me for a mutual friend, one of his guy friends met up with him at a bar for a drink. After the ex explained everything he’d done, the affairs, etc., the friend was like ‘that’s not very feminist of you, dude.’ As petty as it is, I liked hearing about it.

No but dating your employees when you have so much more power and wealth sure as shut means you are not. You can’t say you think women are your equals then turn around and abuse your power to bed them.
Not if you’re having repeated affairs with women you’re in a position of power over and using your wife as a shield against anyone looking too deeply into your fucked up behavior.
I support his wife in sharing her story, and I imagine it was very empowering to let go of the need to keep secrets and lies that really belong to someone else. I’ve been there — going along with initially small lies out of love and loyalty, and then realizing how big they’ve grown over time.
Oh jeez. This is why I should never learn about the personal/political lives of artists. I love Joss Whefon’s work, and I truly think that he was a force in creating more roles for women in front and behind the camera in Hollywood (the number of Buffyverse alums who have gone on to greater success is impressive).

Too little to late for anyone in my life who voted for that thing in the white house. I gave up last week. After what happened in VA and Trump’s bullshit response anyone who still supports him is complicit in the country’s descent into fascism and I am done.

They would still never vote for Hillary or any other Democrat. They might vote for somebody like Bernie Sanders, but only because he’s never been a Democrat, and because he never had a chance of winning.
