It was so nice to meet you! And I’m happy the weather turned out great. This was my first homecoming since ‘05 and it was overwhelming! But a lot of fun. I’m happy your weather prayers were answered.

That is hilarious.
I wish she would keep it real and say she had a dick appointment. Or that little Royal is bad.
Amen! I haven’t been since ‘06 so I pray doesn’t rain. I was so looking forward to tailgating!
I was actually going to ask you about this. You gave the Coachella episode a B+ because of Lawrence. Will you change the grade now that you see that Lawrence was actually really good for the season as a whole or do you think the reintroduction was still a little clunky?
I’m late but Molly absolutely enabled Issa like this before. Remember when she stalked Lawrence at work, season 2? Those tech campuses are huge! I think she stood around for 2 hours during the work day! That’s a lot.
Except it is what happened, kind of. Supposedly the character of Aibileen was based VERY heavily on the author’s maid growing up. In fact, when the former maid and her children read it, they were very upset. She just stole their story. So, it happened but in the whitest most colonizing way possible.
My girlfriend told me about this last night. I told her that it sounds like they were dating because her story made no sense. I know I shouldn’t put any faith in the justice system but this seems like she is going to get some time. Although, she needs to be charged with murder.
But I’m going to go on a limb and assume that you are not a pop star that is considered “soulful” who has undeniably been influenced either directly by Michael Jackson or by someone who was.
I thought she was referring to lil Rel. That makes sense.
I don’t remember that being the case in the book but it’s been a long time since I read it. Is that how they framed it in the series so far? That it was some kind of a rite of passage?
I would agree! It was definitely more sexual exploitation than sexual exploration. However, in the book I feel like it was her idea. But I read it 4 or 5 years ago so I don’t remember.
It made me extremely uncomfortable but I thought the author was trying to convey that her mental instability (which could play into consent) was why she suggested the group sex. But I am more than willing to consider it an assault.
It was great for sure! Side note, I think lil Rel was from Chicago not Cleveland.
This has probably been said before but in the book it was made clear that she wasn’t assaulted. This is my first episode (waiting on Insecure to come on) so, I don’t know if it has been framed that way in the series.
And furthermore, who gives a shit if she couldn’t afford the ride. I’m pretty sure the medics get paid regardless.
I can’t speak for all of them. But I really like the sub Stop Drinking. They don’t seem to judge and people are very open. I’ve seen the members in this sub talk about some of the other subs that they are in. But I haven’t checked any of them out, personally.
Believe it or not, Reddit has great subs about sobriety. Some of them give you stickers and stars and the people seem so genuine. If you’re trying to do this alone, then you may want to check it out.
Exact same reason I stopped listening to, “You made it Weird”. Pete Holmes had the best guests but he talks over them all and competes with them. Everything leads back to Pete, no matter who he is talking to.
True! At least before our first kiss.
