I have and do date white men, and the only people who have ever given me dirty looks are black men with their white girlfriends. It’s the strangest shit ever.

All of this. And let’s not forget that outside of Van his portrayal of Black women on that show is singular and one dimensional.

Actually, that’s a brilliant idea. There are Black Women’s (do men do book clubs?) book clubs in a lot of places but my city isn’t one of them. I would absolutely participate in a book discussion on The Root and I know other people would too.
