I’ve had an exceptionally hard time watching most of the commenters here comment on his newest album and all that he’s revealed regarding himself and his marriage. Maybe because I ‘get’ men (and people, really) like this. Everyone isn’t born self aware. Everyone’s experiences aren’t the same. Everyone doesn’t have all

ahem, I’ll be in my bunk.

Exactly, Lena is just a garbage person.

Lol I’m also fat. Fat doesn’t equal unattractive, but Lena Dunham sure does.

You should watch Cuckoo (it’s on Netflix). Andy Samberg is in the first season and it’s okay but not great, but Taylor replaces him for the rest of the series and he’s unexpectedly hilarious. The role is absolutely perfect for him.

It’s like you’ve never even heard of Quantico

My pale European blend of paleness wife and I, a Sri Lankan guy, are thrilled every time we see an interracial couple in the media. Doesn’t matter if it’s a Cheerios commercial or an episode of Happy Endings or Sense8 or Firefly, it’s good to see some kind of reflection of us, even if it’s not a perfect reflection.

Now that’s some intersectionality.

Also New Girl features a brown girl/white guy relationship/marriage.

Not to mention Quantico. This article goes out of its way to talk about two representations and basically omits a large part of what audiences are actually seeing. When someone pushes a narrative this hard, its hard not to think that this is just a bad personal take, even in an otherwise well written article.

No, I’m not going to provide point by point transcripts of his specials. Just watch his work with a critical eye instead of being so easily impressed by mediocre comics.

It’s not just that I don’t think he’s that funny, it’s that much of his act is often performed in a way that posits him as some kind of intellectual beacon chastising other segments of the American population based on really flimsy premises (i.e. admonishing ‘liberals’ for not wanting to be called f****ts and super

I didn’t see the film ( I was disappointed that it was not about the Japanese Christians, but about the Jesuits) but I think that the idea that the Japanese were worried about their culture is a bit of a simplification. The politics of the time, the power struggle between different factions in Japan (and the power

I’m not convinced that the supposed Noonan isn’t just a Rockabilly boy:

It was far more insulting to Australia that she spent days yammering about meat pies and then when she got one SHE ATE IT WITH A SPOON.

Japan’s never apologized for their role in WWII, where they killed 10 million civilians, so don’t hold your breath for the big Amelia Earhart reveal.

Wow, he found some real clarity in his life. You can’t bag on someone who has that level of self awareness. Not to mention a great capacity for kindness to the people be cared for. I’m impressed.

this is a great response! I agree with you that it takes bravery to turn pain into power.

Swam in my neighbors pool with this goofy butt and tried really hard to do physical therapy on my hand which really sucks.

HThe irony is that there are plenty of women who would be into a dude with money regardless of what he looks like. McClure is either too lazy to find them or he gets off on foisting himself on unsuspecting women. (My guess is the latter.)
