This is a strange one but I absolutely love it - Number 9 Dream by David Mitchell.
It’s a pretty quick read but it’s a crazy Tarantino adventure style of a Tokyo tour. And I love that the main character is from Yakushima this tiny island in Kyushu and man he completely nails the grossness of the city it’s great.
