You know those letters definitely spark some divorce talk down the road between Ron and Hermione. God the more I think about it the more I feel like Ron/Hermione/Krum end up like that Richard Gere and Diane Lane movie Unfaithful.

Ugh that’s what bothers me the most about the pairings. It all ties up so neatly that JK barely had to spend any time developing it for you to accept it.

I never liked that relationship, I think I liked it even less in the books than I did the movie. What sucks is there isn’t ever really a good alternative for him romance wise, so I get why JK did it. It all ends up even steven for the trio, which is actually probably another reason why I didn’t like the pairings.

It reminds me a lot of The MaddAddam trilogy by Margaret Atwood. There are a lot of constant references to extinct animals and one of the groups in the book have a prayer where they name each of the animals that are no longer around. It’s set in the future so you can imagine how depressingly long that list is.
