Just found that movie on Netflix yesterday and re-watched it. That and the book are my go to whenever I’m feeling super homesick.

This was basically my high school. It sucked. Thus I went to college very far away only to realize after I graduated that those asshats were waiting outside for me.

Yeah, we’ve always had pets in our house growing up. But my parents were always very clear about adopting from shelters and not supporting the puppy farms or breeders who try to make quick bucks selling these animals. It’s so true. I took an Animals in Human History class in college and it was utterly depressing. It was like watching a car crash happen in slow motion, completely unable to do anything to stop it. Going home I didn’t know if I should hug my cat or apologize to her.
