I think the whole point for most of us was that it was all or nothing. I'm not going to spend 40 hours a month sitting blankly in front of the TV but I do like to watch A good series or a baseball game.

It's not really ala carte though. All of these are packages, and I'm still paying for 5, 10, 20+ channels I will never, ever watch. I just want a list where I check off the 10 channels I watch, and pay $20 a month.
