Honestly, the Hand as an organization is too vague and broad to be an interesting villain, but Madame Gao, I find, is the only compelling thing about them. Her physicality and demeanor makes for such a distinct presence that she's just a character I want to get to know a whole lot more.

"bakes delicious treats"

The fuzzy VHS quality and the shoe-throwing really made that bit.

Rule of Threes!

IIRC, Tom Cruise was backing GDT for the R-rating. It really was WB who balked at the last minute.

He's the DC Version of the Avengers' Galaga guy.

I really, really hope they don't do it, but I fear she maybe done after this season. They're setting up an out for her with her village and family by the end of this season, I think. She's been a really solid addition to the cast.

I liked that Ray explicitly made a The Martian reference while holding the flag, then cut to Ray really commiting to full Martian-ness with his vlog.

Stein also pulling out a decent British accent out of nowhere is one of those things that make no sense but it's just so fun.

This show will live or die on how they handle its tone. If it's too light, there's no stakes and it would be weightless and too silly. It can go dark but it would really have to commit to that darkness for it to work. Right now it's veering a bit into the too light/silly side for my tastes. There needs to be more of

The medical issues are a bit much, but I think Shepherd is charming enough to pull it off.

This is definitely a Rule Of Fun show.

We already have Victor Garber, now we're just going to need more wigs and ridiculous accents!

The actors posting BTS, sets, and costumes on social media are a treat. I bet it's a really fun show to make.

I figure the Inhumans show is about a year away. If that bombs, I think AoS might be in danger.

That's a relief. AoS has been killing it and I'd really like at least one more season.

Mick and Sara are always great but Ray has been the most fun character this season. His joy is infectious.

Agree with you on Flash Vs Speedsters. They had to bring in the literal god of speed this season because they didn't have anywhere else to go.

I like having Rip back on the team but I hope he doesn't replace Jax as de-facto 1st mate. Jax and Sara's relationship as team leaders is one of my favorite things from this season.

The fact that he barely does anything in this episode but still gets MVP is proof that Mick is the best.
