Re: Detox

Detox's look and makeup was great on the runway but killed her lip sync. Since her face was all silver and monotone, it really made her expressions hard to read and her lip sync felt muted.

Not only was the character tough, the staging literally left her all alone with nothing to work with background-wise. Everyone had props and background dancers and she got a fucking plastic crown.

Really pumped to see this. After Banshee, I'll watch anything done by Yaitanes.

Agreed. It was one joke, but it was all these variations of that one joke so it still worked for me.

There's an episode of Alyssa's Secret where she walks around Hollywood and goes wig-shopping all while having a full-on tin man silver face. It is bonkers and beautiful.

I miss how the first few seasons were so C-list.

Tammie Brown and Nina Flowers deserved so much better than AS1.

You can only generate so much goodwill in an episode. I liked how she came off in the first episode but thought it was super shady how she appealed to Alaska's friendship.
