there are very few cartoons or even series that focus on one person evolution in that manner, that deal with someone so broken that feels beyond repair and yet they refuse judge it, moralize or go the easy way and give the character an epiphany-ex-machina.

Bojack is more realistic, a person doesn’t changes overnight, it’s a constant back and forth, and they have protrayed it pretty faithfully.
