What a Person-of-Interest-y review. That is saying something on here.

On the one hand I agree 100% about the current quality of the review and the writer will too, given about 5 years of experience. We could let it go, if it were such a bad show that deserved the "we imagination-less people weren't explicitly shown and told everything" review. It's not at the moment.
On the other hand

One of the better reviewers on this site. Thankyou Alasdair.
How hard is it to primarily review the story being shown, highlighting who is doing what and why, AND then discussing the opinions surrounding it including reviewers, audiences, writers, narrative structure, etc.
Instead, most of the time all we get is a brief

John and Sameen. Finally addressing the subtext and depth of their scenes together. Two extremely damaged souls healing each other in their own way. It will be unlike other TV relationships because 1)POI Writers 2)Everything else is also of great interest 3)"Romance" will be mostly off-screen. Looking forward to it.

"The fact that we’re taking this journey through the perspective of a woman makes things infinitely more interesting, especially because Claire so closely resembles the archetypal reluctant male hero we’re used to seeing in the fantasy genre."
