I didn’t watch Pose because I thought, “what can Ryan Murphy do that Paris is Burning (1990) didn’t do better by having actual members of the Ball Community speaking in a documentary as opposed to actors performing a manufactured TV narrative?” But it’s refreshing to hear that the subject matter was well-handled.…

To be honest, I wish they’d touch on claustrophobia. 18 months have passed, and aside from being kind of hungry and mind-numbingly bored, none of the characters seem that impacted by their living space. I’m already afraid that’s all that this season is going to come to: pretty people who stand around looking pretty. That’s what Hotel amounted to and this is so far lacking in actual stakes, motivation, or conflict.

MY GOD, I’M ALREADY BORED! I’ve been watching this series since season 1 and I love the potential of a horror anthology with a recurring stable of actors, but the repetition and lack of effort is grating at this point.
