Yea. I guess I'm one of the few on here that sees the potential in a Jake/Amy relationship. And at the beginning of season one, I was kind of expecting them to take the romance route with those two and I was against it. But then Amy came into her own as a character and completely changed my opinion on the matter. Now

I never cared about Jim/Pam or Ben/Leslie either. I only care about interesting dynamics and those pairings weren't all that interesting, just based off the characters themselves.

These really do seem like 6th Doctor stories(only way better), although the 12th Doctor has quite a bit of 7th in him as well.

A powerful story can still be told with the idea that failure is inevitable. Gotham just isn't telling it, which is unfortunate.

Dark fantasy does not equal gritty realism. Nolan's movies were gritty realism. Gotham is dark fantasy. But it's terrible dark fantasy. So keep ripping it to shreds.

"Clara Oswald Show"

I like Hunter, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the writing. Nick Blood(can't get over how awesome that name is) carries the role really well.

Eh, nothing about the Doctor and Clara feels like father and daughter. The fact that he looks older doesn't really change that. If anything, their love for one another is too complicated to label in such a manner. Even with the 11th and the romantic implications, it was never quite romantic either. To be honest, I

I have issues with episodes that aren't character driven. This is an exception to the rule. I think it's wonderfully executed and I can take one of these episodes, as long as the rest don't try to imitate it. I will say though, this might have worked better as a two part story. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed it. B+

That's cool and all but it's not as if Listen doesn't have some issues either. Or The Eleventh Hour for that matter. In fact, pretty much every episode of season five written by Moffat is better than The Eleventh Hour and yes, I'm including The Beast Below. Hell, I'll even throw A Christmas Carol(the best christmas

Best episode since The Eleventh Hour? That's implying that The Eleventh Hour is better than Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone(note: it's not). Seriously, I think that two parter is severely underrated and one of the best television stories Doctor Who has ever produced. I also think I might prefer it over Blink.

I've been interested in this show since I first heard about it. Doesn't seem like the kind of show I'd like, but I'm gonna give it a shot anyway. It's probably because I'm a sucker for any time travel story.

That ending was horrible in a funny way. I feel for Edgar though.

You know what's funny about this situation is that True Detective's detractors liked to talk about how Rust was spouting nonsense like teenage stoners or whatever. So yea, I just find it funny how decidedly not true that is.

Ah, Fireworks has always been an interesting band. Simultaneously happy and sad. The music video reflects that as well.

They might have been able to convince the conspiracy theorists but let's be honest here, the government would have worked hard to bury it all. Linden would never have been able to convince the general public. Mills would still be in prison. Which is exactly why Linden gave up the badge and left. Everything she could

Ya know, for the whole Mayor deus ex-machina thing, I'm glad how that wasn't viewed as some happy moment. Because really, that was corrupt. While Linden got off free, it wasn't really treated that way by the writers of the show. She got off free for the wrong reasons. And so she finally quit, because it wasn't worth

They didn't keep it a secret. They just couldn't do anything about it. That's the corruption of the government for ya. They couldn't let a well respected, long serving man of the police be viewed as a murderer. There was nothing Linden and Holder could have done.

That ending was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. The big reason why it works is because the entire show was so damn depressing(but good, aside from season 2), that a happy ending was never a guaranteed thing. In fact, I would have bet on a very depressing ending and it looked like it was going to happen. But damn, it

I binged The Killing a few months ago. I thought for a little bit that the people still holding grudges over the season one finale were overreacting, but really, I guess there's a difference between someone like me who actually knew about the crappy cliffhanger because I heard about it everywhere for a couple of years
