GI wasn't even a real hit when it aired originally, almost everyone knows it from reruns, which makes it kind of age-proof when it comes to familiarity.

Agreed, this was a Final in which a player could piece together a logical guess using knowledge of politics and the letters provided. I always prefer the ones that present a little puzzle to solve. Great clue.
