Jeopardy! thread for Mon.., Dec. 16 - Matthew opened up a clear lead in the first round and had a runaway advantage going into this Final:

Gee, I didn't know I was the ratings Grim Reaper, I'll have to keep that in mind…

Agreed, her vision for the direction of the series sounds really promising. Looking forward to it now more then ever after this interview.

Surely someone out there is dedicated enough to build a detailed, accurate replica of The Park's clubhouse from Regular Show.

Ravens-Lions is a pretty good game for MNF, but I'd settle for them rerunning yesterday's Cowboys defensive collapse and Romo's game-ending interception-fest.

When I was watching this, as soon as it was obvious that it was a Duel spoof, I thought to myself, "OK, the reviewer of this episode probably isn't going to know about Duel, so prepare yourself not to be annoyed by it not being mentioned."

Too bad they didn't think of this show 30 years ago. I might have watched a version that starred The Fabulous Moolah.

The rapid piling-on of the wacky names of Christmas specials and license plate slogans is kind of a visual version of a Robin Williams routine. You know, throw the gags out there so fast that maybe the audience won't have time to realize how mediocre they are.

Yeah, I liked Vinny, too.

Some lingering questions from the finale:

How about Family Guy - "Road to Rhode Island".

I imagine Apatow went to Woody Allen comedies and thought, "These are pretty good, but they really need to be at least a half-hour longer."

For a great show, it should be nearly impossible to pick one standout episode. That task would likely be much easier for a bad show.

Hard to know off the top of your head but possible to logically figure out, which is exactly what a good FJ! clue should be.

So close, but we were looking for "What is rectal itch?". Good try, though.

I think it was reasonable to figure this one out, given that it is well known that younger people are associated with a higher rate of suicide attempts, which are linked to depression.

Jeopardy! thread for Fri., Dec. 13 - With scores at the end of DJ of $11,200 (Tiffany), $8,000 (champ Woody) and $4,800 (Evan), all three players had a legitimate shot going into this Final:

And there is exactly ABC's problem - always moving their bottom-half-hour sitcoms around, or yanking them completely after short runs. It trains the audience not to pay attention to their new shows, since they'll probably just get the axe anyway.

Sucks, doesn't it? Apparently for most of these older shows, the readership drops off a cliff after the first couple of reviews.

Doubt that will ever happen, with TV Club Classic being phased out.
