We're not sure if Fox will be sticking with the two-hour sitcom block next year. If Glee does reasonably well when they move it to Tuesday at 8 and Fox leaves it there next season, that could mean two fewer available spots for a half-hour live-action sitcom on the fall schedule.
Seriously, one would think that being the biggest money winner from a recent season and a TOC runner-up would be good enough for an invite.

The ratings are low but it has an established fan base and the demographics are strong. Mindy's in a similar spot as Community was last season, it needs everything to break just right but it still has a shot.
Just to clarify this somewhat overblown hiatus talk:
The 80s didn't really end until Nirvana's "Nevermind" came along, so I think it's fair to lump Wilson Phillips with other mid-to-late 80s acts.

Their first few singles were smash hits both on Top 40 radio and on the Adult Contemporary charts, so their appeal truly did stretch across generations for a while.
"Pop music" is generally used to describe any radio-friendly genre primarily intended to have commercial appeal, so Wilson Phillips would fit the bill.
Seriously, Alex didn't have to be such a douche to the guy, Pearl Jam isn't the worst guess in the world. After all, their biggest hit single internationally was "Last Kiss", so it's not like they've never done covers before.

The involvement of Fives took the whole situation up to a delightful level of absurdity.
Mitch and Rigby getting unnecessarily smashed by those chairs at the very end of the stunt test was pure awesomeness.
Side note: any plans for A.V. Club to do a look-in on The Millers or The Crazy Ones?
