The Community episode referenced well-known, classic indies, which is about as far as I would expect a mainstream network sitcom to push it without fear of losing the audience.

This episode is a pure A for the very audacity of the concept, backed up by perfect execution.
"Your dad is dead. HE'S DEAD!!!!!"
"A railroad gypsy took away my vas deferens, but you are bumming me out."
If it was a legislation contest rather than a football game, then yes, that name would be terrifying.
Seriously, where is it? Did Fox executives take over A.V. Club yesterday and decide to preempt the review?
"We are not super-impressed by the names of either of these teams. Neither saints nor seahawks sound all that threatening."
I'm just wondering based on the past behavior of CBS, which is usually not very forgiving with shows that badly underperform.
For example, on this season's CBS Monday night schedule, We Are Men got two whole weeks before it was yanked into oblivion in favor of Big Bang reruns.
Also, the promo for Hostages on the football game promised us something like the "biggest twist ever". Two points to make:
"That's better. And somebody get that man a highball."
Made me long for the good old days when everyone on shows like this smoked their brains out so it didn't look like they were just standing around doing nothing.
"I have to pop it for my SANITY!"
That would be good, but I'd settle for another awesome training montage.
And a bad Sunday night for the NFL. The 4-7 Giants vs. the 3-8 Redskins in the NFC East Sacko Bowl? This is the best they could do for a prime time game in December? Sheesh.

Five down, five to go.
Yeah, RH is done. The main reason RH was brought back to begin with was to build up the episode count for syndication.
"A" is for Answer.
I found it notable that on Lucas Bros. Moving Co., the heroes are openly shown getting high without negative consequences, which is a line I'm not aware if even Adult Swim has crossed. So they are unmistakably rolling out the welcome mat to stoners here to an extent I don't recall on network programming since the good…
"…it’s a wonder that it took a dozen years before a rival network devoted as much as an hour a week to trying to cash in on the basic idea behind Adult Swim…"
