The Mountain is a rapist on par with Ramsey Bolton in the books, if not worse. That was glossed over in the show, probably because the strongmen who portray Clegane are not good enough actors to have any depth of character (or lines).

The parallels with Savonarola are pretty striking. The High Sparrow never had prophesies, though.
There was a 300 sequel?
1700 miles? Holy shit. That's like the distance from Naples to Stockholm.
Hudsucker Proxy would have worked, too.
After episode nine, I would have agreed with you wholeheartedly. There was plenty of fan service this season, and a lot of "good events" happened with minimal consequence. However, this episode redeemed a lot of the problems I was having with the season.
Man, that look between Sansa and Littlefinger. Best part of the episode.
I won't speak for Myles, but my issue is that Bolton got exactly what fans wanted, from exactly who they wanted him to get it from. I think that's okay; what fans don't like fan service? But that kind of narrative is so jarring in the context of the series that it takes you out of it.
Next thing you know, they're going to have government-run liquor stores that sell 12 kroner cans of piss.
Bolton army = Tercios
Bolton sigil = Cross of Burgundy
"Rickon’s long absence robbed the character of any particular meaning to the larger narrative"
The Arya storyline would have made so much more sense if they just recreated the Bloodsport training montage.
You're the best, around! Nothing's gonna ever keep you down!
That was some John Milius shit, right there.
I'm not a huge fan of Mann (as he's presented) but he earned a little respect when he shit on Farrelly during their meeting in the first episode. I mean, Something About Mary was funny, but it's all been downhill since.
I hate to break it to you, but the only thing that probably matters is the television show. If there's one thing that HBO learned during that ten-year hiatus, that's it. Pretty much every decision they (HBO) made during the season is geared towards making better television.
What Stan did to Vlad was evil. He is not a good guy. But as we see, the world is not black and white.
I even felt for Stringer Bell when he was murdered. And, he was pretty much a straight up psychopath and child murderer.
Digitalis would have had Betty in acute pain, nausea and vomiting.
