I thought the Generals were due!!
I was surprised when Cromwell brought up The West Wing that it didn't immediately bring up a question about his guest spot on the show. I think it was one of the last seasons, but he played the President before Bartlett.
I can't wait until part two where you talk about the movie.
I thought so. Solid cast. Good writing, good characters. A bit sentimental at times, I guess, if you want to be overly cynical, but I have good memories of it. Michael Ian Black and Justin Long were both really good in supporting roles, too.
I liked Ed more than all of those. And yes, I know that's not the point. But sue me, I did.
She may have been assertive, but she was pretty incompetent and foolish the first season.
This strikes me as an argument based on a premise that the writer (looking at you, Todd) treats as a universal truth: that everyone absorbs/contemplates/appreciates/watches/thinks about/etc. television in the same way.
No doubt.
Haha, well, he's now eligible to go to Hall of Fame conventions too, so that probably helps.
I wanted to pop in and say that I liked that the dad was in town for the Cubs Convention…which, in real life, starts this Friday. That's good planning on the part of the show, since they obviously filmed this, what, months ago? Good attention to detail for what had to be a fairly minimal payoff, but any show that…
Nice Swanson.
"Shouting" lends an air of coherence that I'm not sure that show deserves.
Another panel show that may have been mentioned (I'll be damned if I'm going to search through the comments of that other article for it) is ESPN's Around the Horn, which has been on for 9 years now.
So…no one voted for Moneyball? Or mentioned it in any way? That seems odd.
Soo…okay.
Yes! Nice. Laughed all over again.
The other moment I remember him losing it was on TDS, doing the story about how Prince Charles was rumored to enjoy male company.
My two favorite Colbert moments:
Duke/UNC is not a great rivalry. It's only been good for twenty years. Before that Duke basketball was nothing. And when Coach K leaves, it will be nothing again. I mean, if your point is that it's two fanbases that hate each other, that can apply to many, many other rivalries. So to me, the tiebreaker is in…
Haha, I was hoping someone would mention the Spock thing. The line is actually George saying "It was a hell of a thing when Spock died." Jerry: "Yeah." And then they both pause for a few moments, which is so obviously a few moments more than either of them cared about Susan dying.
