I agree. I’m old enough to remember the Telecommunications Act of 1996, which was a huge fiasco, from under which we are just starting to emerge. The notion of “broadband” was watered from its promise of 45 Mbps bi-directional broadband being the norm by 2005 to mere 1.5Mbps down/128Kbps up being labeled broadband.
