Here's the difference between you and I - I went to the source and read the ACTUAL complaint. He clearly states he updated his card on Live the CHOSE to purchase a 1 year sub. This is in his actual statement. So, you're basing your beliefs on false knowledge.

There is a young speechwriter somewhere high-fiving his roomie, "Dude! He actually said it!"

No, no, no ... You're confusing what HE says happened with what actually happened. Here's the way it works - he was signed up with auto renew, he enters in his card, the system runs it's because it's set to auto renew and he chooses to get a 12 month sub ... I think when it gets to court it's going to show that he

I play games to avoid the real world, not stumble into it.

No, he doesn't have a very good case, especially if it turns out that the extra month was simply because he chose an action without reading. Furthermore, it's quite difficult to certify a case like this as class action.

I'll say the same thing I say for every EA conference:

What I think happened was that he had it set for auto-renew and the card expired, so when he re-entered his card, it billed him for the year per his settings, then he paid for another year, not realizing he was already charged once, hence him having 2 years instead of just one.

This is the problem with our legal system ... We see so many crappy cases like this, that we begin to believe every case bought is frivolous. There is no was he's going to get class action certification on this.

... the fact that it's a "fetish" automatically excludes the majority of people.

I've got a lot of figures, but most are from games or anime I really like - for example, Mitsuru from Persona 3. I don't think there is anything weird about collecting figures or toys from shows or games that have inspired you or given you entertainment.

I'd say there are simple explanation — maybe this pipe has areas of exposed metal, maybe with enough training you can hold the pipe steady enough when you hit so that you don't hurt yourself. Perhaps the density of the pipe makes it so that you can't wield it effectively until you're stronger. What's the difference in

I think you'd find most people disagree with you — but, if you don't want to consider it an RPG, that's fine. However, it was the originator of the action RPG.

Rogue ... bwah-hahaha ... ahhh ... ah, McWhertor earned his pay today.

My first "RPG" was Adventure on the 2600. I had to believe that a square was an adventurer an up arrow was a magic sword.

In this particular case, the hate is generated because a lot of gamers feel like the upper management at Activision is doing terrible things to the company and to IPs a lot of people used to love. I can't really disagree with that assessment, myself.

Does it have "Don't Panic!" on the front in nice, friendly letters? No? Then it doesnt compare.

Why is the "carniverous snap-snap plant" eating vegetables?

Cool Spot was awesome!

Haha - I just won. It's not that hard to win in a minute. The important tactics are 1) no misses and 2) get the smart bomb off twice with a full screen of pizzas.

Taken your wife? You're the sort that believes women should be completely subservient to men, aren't you?
