Funny timing, I just put on some documentary on Netflix called Plastic Paradise.

I had some sad feelings this weekend and mayyybeee dealt with them by watching 5 hours of rhobh. I hadn't seen it in a few years and used to love Brandi - I thought she was crazy in a fun way. HOLY SHIT, I was wrong. she is a BAD person! So manipulative and sick.
Mine is like "hey remember in 9th grade when you said the Grand Canyon was 'overrated' to try to impress your hot economics teacher? And he made fun of you with his coworker?" That one always flashes on my "greatest hits" before I go to sleep every night.
Ah! Nightmare! I wrote a poem in a creative writing class in HS about my boyfriend and I breaking up. FIVE YEARS LATER, when I'm out of college, my sister takes the class and the teacher hands the poem out for everyone to read! She called me and was like "all of my friends loved your poem about *Chris!"
Elliot Smith is perfect for that. My favorite:
This has got some good ones. http://www.buzzfeed.com/awesomer/songs…
Anyone else like sad/emotional songs when they're having a difficult time? It's like it let's you get it all out. Heard this for the first time in a long time today and going through a rough patch. What are your favorite sad songs.
How did you decide to find out? I have my 2nd trimester ultrasound on Friday, but I really want to wait until delivery for the surprise! The father really wants to find out Friday.
Yeah. And I bet hospitals are trained to identify mothers who are in trouble and connect them with people who guide them through the process if they choose they can't raise the baby.
Thanks. That was my assumption too for the majority of the people who would be using this. But there must be people who wind up at hospitals despite dire circumstances (no insurance/drugs/not being able to raise the baby) because going into labor is painful and scary. Pfxskapksn, I'm pregnant and this article is…
This is puzzling me. If you deliver a baby at a hospital and your name is on the birth certificate and then you surrender your baby anonymously... well, isn't someone going to wonder where that baby went? I understand that many of these people are without support systems, so I'm talking more about the state. Like,…
This is only tangentially related, but some guy at a house show asked me: "how many calories do you think you burn during sex." He wasn't trying to pick me up, he just thought he was cool by mentioning sex in a frank way. I said "none because I just lay there" and walked off. For sone reason thinking of that exchange…
I fortunately have a close friend who offered to move in if I need it. And yes, this is an exciting time in my pregnancy! I'm finally not throwing up every 5 minutes and starting to get HUNGRY. I am showing and am anxiously awaiting feeling the baby move. I cannot wait. I heard the baby's heartbeat yesterday and…
That's great to hear. I have a good friend who is helping me through this. She has three kids who are young adults now, which she raised alone because her ex was an alcoholic. Her family is beautiful and she did a great job with them. That and your story gives me hope that even if I have to give up the dream I…
Luckily, I have an amazing support system of friends and family. My parents live locally and told me that I could live with them if I wanted to. I want to stay in my apartment though. He and I talked about him moving out March 1st. It's a two bedroom and I'm fine with him being here, living separately. I think. …
Thank you. I am trying to make the right decision for my baby. I have moments of strength when I am confident that I'm doing the right thing, but then periods of profound sadness. I do know I never want my kid to see their Dad drunk, especially not once or twice a week. I'm trying to remind myself that these 9…
Thanks. I did give him an ultimatum. The day we moved in (two weeks ago) I told him that I was ready to end it and if he wanted to be with me he would have to start by recording his drinking so he could be accountable. He didn't do that, but his drinking was ok for about a week. He drank on 4 occasions, but 1-3…
I'm in a bad situation. 4 months pregnant and struggling. It was an accident, but a happy one for me and also for my boyfriend (after the initial shock). I'm late 20s, he's early 30s, we've been together a year and a half and both saw a family together in our future, just not so soon. We are/were very much in love.
This happened near me and my mom called me to tell me about it - because she knows that I am am exhausted, constantly nauseated, pukey, peeing emotional nightmare at 12 weeks. Very funny Mom.
Massachusetts Legal jezzies: My bf lives in a house (with 5 ppl) and has a roommate who stopped paying his rent. He's stolen, lied about paying rent, does drugs, never pays bills without being down for weeks. They just got served an eviction notice from the landlord. My bf just wants to move out so he can stop…
