I’m pretty upset about it. Thanksgiving is objectively the best holiday, and we’re blowing right past her.

Let’s be honest. It’s Christmas who has declared war on November. #IStandWithNovember
STOP TRYING TO OPPRESS HER WITH THE TRUTH! JUST STOP IT!
That’s why this is a really dangerous thing for them to open this up. Either they make it look like they favor one team over the other, or they admit they don’t really care about erroneous calls except on the last play when the game is undecided.
Really? Because every other goddamn team worth it’s salt doesn’t run them? Plus, you are aware that it’s possible to run perfectly legal ‘pick’ plays, right?
I’m waiting for the day when it’s discovered that the Patriots have sleeper agents on the staff of every other team in the AFC.
She is writing about how she felt when she was also an adolescent? Not how she feels now?
I remember when Ridley Scott was attached to this about 8 years ago. Fuck Monopoly. I want the Jenga Movie. Then I want the game version, Jenga the Movie the Game.
Why not follow in Peyton’s footsteps? Sign with Denver...
Find some small comfort in knowing that at least you won’t live in the Boston area when Belichick finally decides to trade away Brady (it may not be for a few years, but it is coming and I hate it). I’ve stashed away a small arsenal for the day, but gave my wife the only key because I can’t promise I won’t get swept…

Ms. Greer has been a valued voice, but this ongoing transphobia from fellow second-wavers is disappointing and discouraging. Move into the twenty-first century, please.
When the facts change, I change my mind. I think the narrative of football fans and OSU alumni being a callous horde of hicks fits your feelings better right now than the fact that it would have been unsafe and unwise to send everyone back to the streets, or that people might have preferred the comfort of a familiar…
If the last 6 seconds hadn’t happened, we would have all lost for having watched that shitshow.
Yeah, because not holding the football game would have brought them back to life.. ?
It is not a competition for concern nor an either/or option. An event was scheduled, a tragic accident occurred. If events were cancelled for every local or related tragic death, we’d be cancelling a lot of events.
I hate to be cynical* but I think I’m with you on this. I don’t see what it would accomplish to cancel, other than being a self-congratulatory press opportunity.
FSU, need to borrow our box of Kleenex?
What would that accomplish?
